Pierre Guelen

Chief Executive Officer

As founder and CEO of Planon, Pierre Guelen is responsible for global operations and is the architect of the company’s strategy and overall vision. Pierre Guelen spearheads Planon’s leadership role in the facility management and real estate software industry.

Since founding Planon in 1982, Pierre Guelen has taken an active role in increasing the profile of the industry and of demonstrating the role that real estate and facilities play in supporting overall business strategy and driving bottom line success. His leadership has resulted in the organisation winning multiple awards, including being honoured as one of Deloitte’s Best Managed Companies.

Pierre Guelen was educated at Avans University of Applied Sciences in Den Bosch and Rotterdam and has a degree in Industrial Engineering.

Fred Guelen

Chief Financial Officer

Fred Guelen brings over 25 years of legal, financial, entrepreneurial and management experience. As Planon’s CFO, he has management oversight and responsibility for all financial and accounting functions, legal, HR, information technology, as well as facilities and purchasing.

Prior to joining Planon, Fred Guelen was one of the founding partners at Buren van Velzen Guelen (BVVG). BVVG is an international law firm that employs over 60 attorneys, notaries and international tax advisors. He has extensive knowledge and experience managing complex (cross border) mergers & acquisitions, private equities, restructuring and financing projects .

Fred Guelen studied law at the University of Leiden and the University of Amsterdam.

Marc Voss

Chief Operating Officer

Marc Voss brings a lengthy track record of successfully managing large multinational companies, with hands on experience in overseeing mergers and setting up networks of global partnerships. As Planon’s COO, he is responsible for the global Sales and Services organisation with the primary goal of choreographing and managing Planon’s growth into its fourth decade.

Marc Voss has over fifteen years of management experience working for small and large listed companies in Asia, Europe and the US, such as Harvey Nash, SilkRoad, and KPN. His expertise lies in making outsourcing/partnerships work and building and managing global multicultural teams.

Jim Wilton

Vice President Global Marketing

Jim Wilton provides global leadership of Planon’s marketing team. Jim Wilton oversees a dedicated team of professionals who are tasked with product strategy, product management, marketing communications, product marketing and demand generation.

Jim Wilton brings 15 years of technology leadership and management consulting experience to Planon. Prior to joining Planon, Jim Wilton held several executive positions with companies such as Accruent, Tririga and DataCard and has delivered management consulting to Fortune 500 companies in the financial services, defense, manufacturing and turnaround management sectors.  He also currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Regis University, where he teaches international business, marketing and strategy courses.


Jim Wilton received his MBA from Pepperdine University and is currently pursuing his PhD from the International School of Business in Paris.

Koert Hagoort

Vice President Development and Product Management

As Planon’s Vice President, Development and Product Management, Koert is responsible for defining offering requirements, engineering and delivery of all Planon products.

With 15 years of Product Management and software development experience, Koert held a series of roles at Planon. Prior to his current role, Koert served as Director of Product Management and before that as Director of Planon India, where he spent four years setting up a development centre located in Hyderabad, India. Before moving to India, Koert was a Product Manager at Exact Software, working with development teams in Malaysia on their global product line Exact Synergy. Koert started his career as an intern at Planon’s Consultancy Services team and then joined Development as a System Designer and later as a Product Manager and Team Manager.

Koert holds a B.Sc. degree in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, The Netherlands, with a specialization in information systems.
