Are FDs in the dark on the opportunity to cut costs and boost employee morale…?

Brighton, December 1, 2011 – Finance Directors must start listening to their facilities managers or continue missing out on the valuable opportunity to streamline occupancy costs, explains a new research paper sponsored by Planon Software.

In his white paper, The Workplace Optimisation Opportunity, Martin Pickard explains occupancy costs are not as fixed as Finance Directors believe. By moving towards more flexible work environments, such as ‘hot desking’ or ‘hotelling’, companies stand to save millions of pounds while also boosting employee morale.

“More traditional organisations that previously rejected such strategies as ‘too radical’ are reconsidering their decisions in the new economic climate,” says Pickard, Principal of The FM Guru Consultancy.

The white paper, sponsored by Planon Software, finds that FM service providers, armed with vital data, are ideally positioned to proactively analyse workplace environments and present cost saving opportunities to their clients.

The research paper succinctly defines the possibilities, as well as showcasing the central role Integrated FM Software Solutions play in optimising the workplace, says Pierre Guelen, Planon Software’s founder and CEO.

“Today’s facilities management technology can provide decision makers with all the information they need to make informed investments that greatly trim operating costs. Senior executives need to start paying attention, or they may find their position untenable.”
