Brighton, September 6, 2011 – Planon Software Inc. is pleased to announce it has implemented its Integrated Workplace Management System solution for the US operations of Novo Nordisk, helping the pharmaceutical giant optimally manage all North American corporate workspaces, providing efficient service delivery to 1,200 employees. Solutions deployed include: Space Management; Move/Adds/Changes; Asset Management; Reservations with integration to personnel data and access management system and Planon Self-Service for employee requests.
Novo Nordisk selected Planon to support its US operations after an extensive competitive evaluation and tendering process. Global parent Novo Nordisk A/S also relies on Planon systems to manage its facilities in Denmark, supporting 13,500 employees.
“Our corporation places the highest priority on reducing our impact on the environment, as well as ensuring healthy and inspiring environments for employees,” says Ted Bielicky, Senior Director of Facilities. “By optimising our use of space we reduce the cost to the environment and gain associated cost reduction benefits to the company while more efficiently connecting employees to their services. After considering the competing solutions, and seeing the results Planon is delivering at our Danish headquarters, the choice for our Princeton facilities was simple.”
“During the implementation process, Planon fully supported our internal IT team and got us up and running on time and on budget,” says Dennis Satterley, Senior Facilities Associate.
Key priorities for Novo Nordisk include efficiently and transparently managing highly dynamic workspaces, empowering staff to request and receive resources and effectively forecasting future facilities requirements.
