Braintree, MA, July 18, 2011 – Planon, the global market leader in Facility Management and Corporate Real Estate Software, has strengthened its position and commitment to the Central and Eastern European market through the regional realignment and bundling of responsibilities to create the new DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and Eastern Europe. In support of this effort, Planon has announced it will add a new office in Linz, Austria to support the business. Over the last two years, Planon has doubled turnover and the number of employees within this region.
Matthias Scharer, previously Managing Director of the Planon office in Frankfurt, has been appointed as General Manager for DACH and Eastern Europe in charge of future development and leadership of the region.
“The Central and Eastern Europe region is a key market for Planon,” said Mr. Scharer. “By bundling the overall responsibility for this region, we establish a unified structure that will more optimally support our customers’ needs.”
