Case Study - Singapore Management University

Singapore Management University (SMU) is internationally recognised for its world class research and distinguished teaching. Established in 2000, SMU’s mission is to generate leading edge research with global impact and produce broad-based, creative and entrepreneurial leaders for the knowledge-based economy. It is known to be a pioneer in Singapore for its interactive and technologically-enabled seminar-style teaching in small class sizes.

The SMU offices of workplace and facility management decided that they needed a software solution to manage their work processes. They were finding that, for example, AutoCAD® drawings were being misplaced or not updated as they had no central database. SMU reviewed several IWMS vendors and selected 3 providers ‒ including Planon ‒ for demonstrations.
