27 December 2012 – Planon contributes to the International Facility Management Association’s (IFMA) latest book on the future of workplace technologies for facilities managers.
Planon, the global leaders in real estate and facilities management software, today announced that Erik Jaspers, chief technology officer (CTO) at Planon, has contributed a chapter on ‘workplace technologies’ to the IFMA Foundation’s latest book, Technology for Facility Managers. Launched at the IFMA World Workplace Conference 2012, the new publication explores the role that various technologies can play in the fields of facilities and real estate management.
As part of the Technology for Facility Managers project, Erik Jaspers at Planon shares his insight into those technologies that professionals in the real estate and facilities management field are rapidly adopting. In particular, Erik’s contribution focuses on the opportunities and implications that new IT, such as intelligent infrastructures and corporate apps, present to the wider industry.
Jim Wilton, vice president of global marketing for Planon, comments on the significance of Planon’s contribution to the book. “As a software vendor it is imperative for us to keep a close eye on IT innovations and address important developments in this area in a timely manner.
