On September 6, 2017, Hurricane Irma slammed into the US Virgin Islands as a category 5 hurricane. The islands suffered severe wind and flood damage, and many areas were devastated. Sadly, less than a month later, category 4 hurricane, Maria, hit the islands once more, leaving most schools and countless homes and buildings severely damaged. More than two months later, relief organizations are still functioning at an “Immediate Response” phase, dealing with cleanup, debris removal, and sanitation efforts.
At Planon, I am proud of the caring and hard-working team and culture we have. The spirit of humanity shines brightest when faced with adversity and tragedy. And I am proud to share with you that our own colleague, Colby Tuttle has chosen to act. Colby will be taking a one month leave from Planon between February 1, 2018 and March 1, 2018, to volunteer and assist with cleanup efforts to help those on the US Virgin Islands who have had their lives and homes turned upside down during these recent storms.
Planon is incredibly proud to support Colby in this endeavor and looks forward to seeing the difference he can make in the lives of those in need. In honor of our clients who were affected by all the devastating storms in 2017, Planon has also made a donation to help in these cleanup efforts.
During Colby’s leave, his Assistant Accounts Manager Kara Pantano will be your steadfast contact for any ongoing projects or new initiatives that require Planon’s attention. Kara has been working with Colby for the past two years and many of you are already in contact with her, and she will be supported by our entire North American services and support staff. Careful attention to your organization’s initiatives remains a top priority for us.
We hope you will join us in supporting Colby on this incredible journey, and hope to be able to share some updates with you along the way.
If you have any questions, Kara Pantano can be reached at 781-356-0999 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
