February 1st, 2017 - Planon and the IFMA Foundation have released a new publication, Work on the Move 2 that focuses on how innovation is transforming the workplace in a digital economy.

Work on the Move 2 is the follow-up to the well-received publication Work on the Move which was published by the IFMA Foundation in 2011. At the time, Planon was the key sponsor of this project.

This second edition includes forward-looking case studies from around the world and provides practical tools facility professionals can use to take workplace strategies from idea to implementation and track their success. Erik Jaspers, responsible for Planon’s strategy and innovation, authored a chapter on “Technologies Driving Smart Futures” and David Karpook, one of Planon’s strategic business consultants, co-authored a chapter on “The Real Estate Paradox: Options and Investments.” Nancy Johnson Sanquist, Planon’s new VP of Global Strategic Marketing, was a co-editor of the book and also co-authored two chapters on “The Building Digital Workplace” and “Moving Forward with Wendy.

“Planon is pleased to be part of this new and ground-breaking publication about one of the most important topics in the real estate and facility management business: the workplace. Like no other topic, the workplace is subject to continuous conversation and innovation,” said Planon CEO Pierre Guelen. “We believe this publication will be of great guidance to those who seek to understand the developments around the workplace and the forces behind them.”

Work on the Move 2 is the collaborative effort that brings together global workplace experts to analyze how work is changing, the impact it’s having on the workplace and how facility professionals can respond. The book provides facility professionals with tools that will allow them to become more strategic leaders in the ongoing workplace revolution.

Planon planned a webinar at March 2nd on topics connected to the book.
