Irina Mladenova joined Planon in 2026 as Chief Product Officer, taking up responsibility for the product vision and strategy, including AI innovation, as well as the Planon portfolio roadmap. Before joining Planon, she held various senior product leadership and strategic roles across the built-environment technology sector.

Irina is a dedicated and globally minded technology leader with experience in product innovation and development, go-to-market strategy, data analytics and visualisation, market research, product marketing, and P&L management. She possesses a proven background of increasing efficiency and delivering results through solving complex tactical and strategic management challenges to drive accountability, transformation, collaboration, and cohesiveness. Bringing strong product and data strategy experience from across the built-environment technology sector, Irina Mladenova joined Planon in 2026, after leading the development of an AI-driven asset lifecycle management platform for regulated markets that integrated advanced analytics and generative AI to enhance predictive capabilities and customer value.
Irina previously contributed to global digital transformation initiatives at JLL and served as the product leader on the flagship Azara data analytics platform, the foundation for generative AI models serving hundreds of global accounts. Prior to joining JLL, she held a senior product role at FM:Systems, where she helped advance data-driven product capabilities in the workplace and facilities domain.
Irina was the co-founder of Rifiniti, a workplace analytics platform specialising in space optimisation and real-time insights, which was later acquired by FM:Systems. Before launching Rifiniti, she acted as VP of Research and Consulting to senior executives of Fortune 500 companies, advising them on portfolio-wide sustainability practices and technology adoption. Earlier in her career, she gained experience through various roles in large-scale international urban planning re-development projects.
Irina holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies and a master’s degree in Urban Planning, both from Harvard University.
Irina was born and raised in Bulgaria in a family of architects. Currently, she lives in Boston, USA, with her two kids, husband, and dog. As an avid global traveller, she has worked and lived in China, India, Argentina, UAE, Morocco, Singapore, Austria, Bulgaria, and the US. Her hobbies include swimming, skiing, hiking, and dancing.
