Project Publications for Management and Investment Decisions
A project publication may be required at certain times, for example for a management report on project progress as part of a quarterly or monthly report. Publication may also be necessary in order to obtain approval for an investment proposal. It should be noted that only the project owner is authorised to publish a project.

Project Control supports customised standard project phases and provides phase reports to support and validate decision-making processes. The process for creating these reports is clearly structured, with a functional separation of tasks.
Phase reports are used to determine defined ‘go/no-go moments’ or reference points in a project, which are reached at different times depending on the project. These reports include predefined types, such as
- Project initiation
- Preliminary project design
- Building permit
Each phase report is checked by an authorised person and either approved or rejected. The reports are displayed in the project tree under the designation ‘Ph.B’, whereby the most recent publication is always listed first.

In addition to the variable phase reports, there is a structured process for periodic (portfolio) reports with a fixed frequency. These reports are used to regularly document the progress of the project and are secured by a publication process with a clear segregation of duties in the database.
The periodic reports:
- Record the project progress per period, e.g. monthly or quarterly.
- Follow predefined publication types, e.g. ‘01-2025’, ‘02-2025’, ‘Q1-2025’ or ‘Q2-2025’.
- Are approved or rejected after review by an authorised person.
In the project tree, these reports are displayed as ‘PB’, with the most recent report always at the top of the list.

These publications are not subject to any checks and are displayed directly in the project tree under the designation ‘FrP’. Here too, the most recent publication is always listed first.
