As a service provider primarily serving retail customers across Europe, Intesia is addressing the growing need for scalable, standardised, and digitally supported service delivery models in the retail environment. In addition to acting as a facility management service provider for retail customers, Intesia is also a strategic partner of Schneider Electric for the consulting, rollout, and implementation of products like EcoStruxure™ Building Activate.
3 March 2026 — Planon today announced that Intesia Group, a leading provider of facility management services with a strong focus on the retail sector, is strengthening its ability to deliver consistent, high-quality facility services by digitally enabling and standardising its operational and field service processes with Planon’s Facility Services Business Solution (FSBS).
Intesia’s decision aligns with its strategic initiative to modernise and harmonise its IT landscape. The organisation is prioritising improvements in data quality, user-centred workflows, system integration, mobility, BIM, IoT, and advanced analytics, which reflects its response to evolving customer expectations and external market pressures across the European FM industry.
By adopting Planon FSBS, Intesia will enhance a broad range of core processes:
- Work order and ticket management, including routine, reactive, and SLA-driven workflows.
- Preventive maintenance, with standardised, cyclical planning and guided field execution.
- Mobile operations, leveraging Planon’s Mobile Field Services App for inspections, documentation, and real-time updates.
- Subcontractor collaboration, supported through integrated portals, procurement configurations, and automated communication flows.
- Financial process automation, including quote approvals, ERP integrations, and OCR-based invoice processing.
Planon’s FSBS Accelerator, a preconfigured set of best-practice workflows aligned with Intesia’s operational needs, will reduce implementation time and support consistent adoption across countries. The platform’s open, scalable architecture and standardised business protocols enable seamless information exchange between Intesia, its clients, and subcontractors, strengthening multi-stakeholder collaboration.
Looking ahead, Intesia aims to establish a continuous end-to-end digital process, from sensors, to monitoring and control of retail stores via EcoStruxure™ Building Activate, through to the downstream operational and commercial processes managed within Planon. This integrated approach will connect building operations, service execution, and commercial workflows into a single digital backbone for retail and other customers.
‘Selecting Planon is a key milestone in advancing our digital transformation journey,’ said Andreas Thamm, Managing Director, Intesia Group. ‘Together with products like EcoStruxure Building Activate, FSBS enables us to create a connected digital chain - from location-level monitoring and control to operational service delivery and commercial processes.
‘We are proud to partner with Intesia Group as it scales its digital capabilities across Europe,’ said Peter Ankerstjerne, CEO, Planon. ‘Our FSBS solution and Accelerator framework will provide Intesia with a future-ready operational platform that connects people, buildings, and processes, enabling automation, data-driven decision-making, and continuous service improvement.’
