19 November 2024 - Planon, the global leader in smart sustainable building management software, and the UK’s largest welfare charity, The Salvation Army, have joined forces to support employment development and community fundraising initiatives. The Salvation Army (TSA) has been a client of Planon since 2011 and currently uses Planon software within its Property team to manage its real estate, FM service desk, and compliance processes.
TSA’s Employment Plus Programme operates across the UK to support individuals on their journey towards employment. These individuals often face complex barriers, including extended periods of unemployment and previous disengagement from other services. Unlike programmes that prioritise quick job placement, Employment Plus provides personalised, sustained support and leverages TSA’s extensive network to match participants with roles that align closely with their abilities and aspirations.
Planon is supporting the Employment Plus Programme by sponsoring a portion of the annual salary costs for an Employment Development Coordinator based in Brighton, UK - a city ranked 126th among the 317 most deprived towns in England, with an estimated 52.1% of households facing at least one indicator of deprivation.
This partnership will offer Planon employees unique volunteering opportunities, providing valuable support to the community while also serving as an exceptional team-building experience.
‘At Planon we take corporate social responsibility seriously and are excited to be able to support TSA and our local community in this way. We look forward to building on our strong supplier/client relationship and working more closely together on valuable community projects’, said Alex Rogers, Head of Sales UK, Planon.
‘The donation from Planon is a welcomed resource to enable us to reach more people who do not always feel comfortable accessing mainstream services. We offer a holistic and supportive approach to help local people reach their goals by giving them access to specialist Employability Practitioners and the wider services of The Salvation Army. This type of community focused support is vital for progression and personal development and is tailored towards what people really need,’ explained Laura Guy, Employment Services Regional Manager, TSA.
