26 March 2026 — Planon, the leading global provider of smart, sustainable building management software, today announced two strategic additions to its Executive Leadership Team: the appointment of Irina Mladenova as Chief Product Officer (CPO) and Annemarie Tuinstra as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

‘As Planon continues to scale globally and advance our open platform strategy, product leadership and people leadership become even more critical,’ said Peter Ankerstjerne, CEO of Planon. ‘Irina and Annemarie bring exactly the depth and perspective we need at this stage - to sharpen our product focus, strengthen our culture, and support the next phase of our growth.’

Irina Mladenova joins Planon in the newly created role of CPO, where she will lead the company’s global product vision, strategy, and portfolio roadmap. Working closely with Chief Technology Officer Henk Laracker, she will help further align product and technology development. The appointment underscores Planon’s continued focus on product excellence and ensures that customer needs and a strong customer focus remain central to all development processes.

Mladenova brings strong product and data strategy experience from across the built-environment technology sector, with senior leadership roles at JLL Technologies and FM:Systems, as well as experience as co-founder of workplace analytics firm Rifiniti.

‘I’m excited to join Planon at such a pivotal moment for our industry,’ said Mladenova. ‘Organisations everywhere are looking for smarter, more sustainable ways to manage their buildings, and Planon’s open platform approach creates tremendous opportunity for innovation. I look forward to working with our teams to advance a product strategy that brings the power of data and AI even closer to our customers’ daily operations.’

Annemarie Tuinstra joins Planon as CHRO at a time of accelerated growth and increasing convergence with Schneider Electric. In this role, she will be instrumental in strengthening Planon’s global people strategy and supporting the organisation’s long-term ambitions.

With extensive international HR leadership experience from roles at Nijhuis Saur Industries, CECO Environmental Corporation, and SAAB Technologies, Tuinstra has built a strong track record in organisational transformation, talent development, digitalisation, and M&A integration.

‘I’m proud to join Planon at a time when people, culture, and leadership are so closely linked to the company’s growth ambitions,’ said Tuinstra. ‘I look forward to building on Planon’s strong people foundation and working with teams across the organisation to develop a globally connected, inclusive, and future-ready workforce.’

Tuinstra succeeds Wanda Stoop-Zijlstra, who has retired after 32 years at Planon. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s people-first HR culture and contributed significantly to its long-term success.

These appointments reinforce Planon’s commitment to strong leadership as the company continues to scale globally and advance its open platform strategy. With Irina Mladenova and Annemarie Tuinstra joining the Executive Leadership Team, Planon is well positioned to accelerate innovation, strengthen its organisational foundation, and continue delivering exceptional value to customers worldwide.
