25 April 2023 – Planon has achieved ISO 14001 certification for all its Dutch operations, which demonstrates that these are operating in accordance with best environmental management practices.
ISO 14001 represents a set of environmental management standards by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), to guide organisations in enhancing their environmental performance and managing their environmental responsibilities in a systematic manner.
To achieve certification, Planon successfully completed a rigorous 5-day audit by Kiwa, an autonomous global organisation in testing, inspection and certification, training and consultancy services.
Environmental management is an essential part of Planon’s ESG strategy. Striving to preserve and improve our natural environment has become a task we all must participate in. Planon’s Energy & Sustainability Management software solution has been specifically developed to allow organisations to monitor resource consumption across their building portfolio, establish goals, and plan and deliver measures that have a lasting, positive impact.
By adopting the ISO 14001 standards for environmental management within Planon, we are bringing our technological handprint and our global footprint together. The strong foundation our software provides when it comes to energy & sustainability management, in combination with the ISO 14001 environmental management system, equips us with a robust approach to measure and improve our environmental impact even further and move confidently into a more sustainable future.
