HR Operations & Payroll Specialist

Are you a professional who is energised by bringing people, processes and technology together? As HR Operations & Payroll Specialist, you play an important role in delivering reliable, efficient and people-focused HR services. You work within the HR Team and act as the connecting link between employees, managers, HR, Finance, IT and our digital HR platforms.


In this role, you ensure that HR processes run smoothly, payroll changes are processed accurately and employees can rely on excellent service. You also actively contribute to the continued development of a scalable, data-driven and future-ready HR operating model.

What we can challenge you with:

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees and managers with HR and payroll questions.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contract changes, leave processes and offboarding.
  • Process and verify HR and payroll changes with a high level of accuracy.
  • Maintain the quality, completeness and accuracy of HR data.
  • Support the administration and use of HR systems, including Planon and connected applications.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation, automation and self-service solutions.
  • Contribute to knowledge management, digital innovation and AI-supported HR services.

  • You have experience in HR Operations, Payroll, HR Shared Services or a comparable environment.
  • You have experience with administrative HR processes and payroll support.
  • You work accurately and have strong attention to detail, particularly when managing HR data.
  • You are service-oriented and consider both the employee and the organisation.
  • You work independently while collaborating effectively across different disciplines.
  • You communicate confidently in both Dutch and English, as we are an international organisation.
  • You are interested in digital HR solutions and process improvement.

Salary range: € 3.300 - 5.693 gross per month, depending on experience.
This range reflects a good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this role, based on objective, role-related criteria. The total compensation package includes variable compensation and additional benefits.

These are the steps of our onboarding process:

  1. You will receive a welcome letter with information about your first working day.
  2. Your manager will welcome you on your first day and give you a tour of the office.
  3. You will collect your laptop and other assets from IT and visit HR to finalise the administrative onboarding.
  4. You follow the three-day online induction course by the Planon Academy.
  5. After your probation period, your manager discusses the continuation of the employment contract with you.
