Bjorn van Ingen

As Product Manager for Space & Workplace Services Management at Planon, Bjorn leads the development of solutions that help organizations create flexible, engaging, and efficient workplaces. Since joining Planon in 2023, he began his career in software development and agile facilitation, later stepping into functional design. Today, Bjorn applies that technical foundation and delivery mindset to product management: translating customer needs into scalable, high-impact solutions. His approach is rooted in a customer-centric mindset, sharpened by a trained eye for technical feasibility—ensuring that ideas not only resonate with users but are also realistically buildable. With a Bachelor’s degree in ICT from HAN University of Applied Sciences and additional certificates in product ownership and agile product management, Bjorn brings hands-on experience in agile delivery, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous discovery. He actively engages with users and stakeholders to uncover opportunities to deliver more value, validate pain points, and prioritize what matters most. As AI becomes a transformative force in product development, Bjorn is learning to harness its potential to accelerate discovery, enhance decision-making, and stay ahead of market shifts. 

Outside of work, Bjorn enjoys fitness, reading, writing, painting, and watching movies. He also likes golf and darts, and values continuous learning and personal growth. He’s often diving into books on (product) management, watching webinars on technology trends, and exploring how AI is reshaping product development. Fluent in Dutch and English, he also has a basic knowledge of Spanish and a curiosity for global perspectives. Whether exploring new ideas or refining his skills, Bjorn brings a thoughtful, optimistic and open-minded approach to both work and life.
