Planon again named a "Leader" in the 2014 Magic Quadrant for IWMS

July 17th, 2014 - Planon has strengthened its’ position as a "Leader" in the June 2014 Gartner Magic Quadrant for IWMS – Integrated Workplace Management Systems. Planon has been positioned as a Leader in this report by the leading independent technology research organization since 2006. In the latest publication of the IWMS Magic Quadrant, Planon has strengthened its position compared to last year.

Gartner defines Leaders as organizations that: “have strengths in applications and platform technology; they demonstrate high levels of quality in terms of product reliability and service; they have strong operational and organizational capabilities, financial stability and global reach; and they offer a strong vision of customers' needs, as reflected in a robust development road map.”

The 2014 Gartner report includes the following considerations:

  • Adapting existing work styles to more mobile and virtual workplaces will require much of the functionality currently offered by many IWMS vendors. In this new world, the IWMS essentially becomes a service delivery platform for virtual office workers.
  • Robust global capabilities — such as currency and language translation capabilities, and 24/7 multilingual help desk support — are becoming common requirements.
  • Effective sustainability systems must enable the comprehensive collection of accurate energy consumption and emissions data, as well as efficient analysis and evaluation of that data to facilitate informed triage decisions that optimize long-term sustainability.

Pierre Guelen, founder and CEO of Planon, says: “Our latest version of Planon Accelerator, evaluated by Gartner in the 2014 Magic Quadrant for IWMS, is aligned to the future needs of global organizations. Not only do we maintain our strong international orientation [in terms of languages, currencies, dates and times] our IWMS now fully integrates with sensor technology. This allows our clients to monitor and analyze their workplaces and meeting rooms in real-time, to more effectively support the increasingly mobile workforce. We feel our continued commitment to invest over 20 % of our revenue in Research & Development has undoubtedly helped to position Planon in the leadership quadrant for six consecutive years. We strongly believe that Planon is leading the way in the IWMS field and I am delighted that Gartner has again recognized our position within the industry.”
