Sales Director Customer Growth M/F/D

Sales Director Customer Growth M/F/D

This is a role for a commercial leader who wants real ownership and visible impact. As Sales Director – Customer Growth, you will be responsible for shaping how an established customer base is retained, expanded, and grown, and for turning untapped potential into measurable, recurring revenue.

What makes this role compelling is its breadth and influence. You will operate at the intersection of leadership, strategy, and execution. You will set direction, coach a team, engage directly with senior customer stakeholders, and influence outcomes that matter to the business. This is not a pure management role, nor a pure sales role. It is a chance to lead from the front and build something that scales.

For us, this role is critical. Our growth increasingly comes from the customers we already serve. We have strong relationships and a mature installed base, but we need sharper focus and senior commercial leadership to consistently identify where additional value and growth can be created. In this role, you will bring structure, clarity, and momentum to customer growth, helping us protect and expand recurring revenue today while building a sustainable engine for the future.

What you'll be doing

You will have full commercial ownership for customer growth in your area. Your focus is on building a scalable, disciplined approach to retention and expansion, while staying close to customers and outcomes.

  • Own total recurring revenue performance for the Installed Base, with accountability for retention, expansion, and Net Revenue Retention
  • Lead, coach, and develop a customer growth team, operating as a hands‑on leader who stays close to deals and customers
  • Drive upsell, cross‑sell, renewals, and price indexation, while maintaining strong pricing discipline and margin protection
  • Define and own the customer engagement and account planning model, translating global standards into clear local execution
  • Ensure accurate forecasting, strong pipeline coverage, and high data quality across all customer growth activities
  • Act as a senior escalation point for key customers and work closely with Services, Marketing, and other stakeholders to deliver customer value

Profile

You are a commercially minded leader who combines structure with pragmatism. You enjoy being close to customers, take ownership of results, and know how to raise the performance of experienced professionals through clarity, coaching, and focus.

What you bring:

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial or sales leadership role within SaaS or cloud‑based solutions
  • Strong track record in growing revenue within an existing customer base, including expansion, upsell, and renewals
  • Demonstrated people management experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development
  • Ability to operate as a hands‑on leader, balancing strategic responsibility with direct customer and deal involvement
  • Strong commercial capability in forecasting, pipeline management, and pricing discipline
  • Based in Germany or Switzerland, fluency in Swiss German is mandatory and French a strong advantage.
