Product Owner/ Functional Designer

In this rapidly evolving world, Planon is looking for new ways to disrupt the status quo, go to market faster, and optimize customer experiences. We’re seeking an experienced Product Owner/ Functional Designer to help lead this mission. The ideal candidate will have big ideas and strategies that foster an environment of collaboration and creativity.

As a Product Owner/ Functional Designer you play a crucial part in crafting software products that make a real impact, touching the lives of millions of users, and helping your colleagues develop and maintain the foundation for solutions. Collaborating within a dynamic development department of 200+ talented colleagues, you will contribute to our mission of providing in-house software solutions that empower clients to efficiently address their facility and real estate challenges.

As a Product Owner/ Functional Designer you make sure that every product developed by Planon meets client needs and wants. Your duties include selecting which features should be included in each product and how they will be distributed across target markets. Furthermore, you decide which design direction to go in the next phase.

Profile

You successfully fulfil your role by:

• Work closely with product managers and business teams to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value, or ROI.
• Lead the product-release plans and set expectations for the delivery of new functionalities.
• Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they’re clearly understood by relevant teams.
• Continuously assess designs with Product Managers, Technical Architects and stakeholders, prioritizing epics, features, & user stories to ensure alignment with the product strategy.
• Lead team scrums to define the product roadmap and growth opportunities, and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project.
• Think about how different user roles may want the product features you design to behave.
• Perform acceptance tests to validate if the features were developed as per requirements.
