Financial Reporting Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our Planon team as a Finance Business Analyst. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of Excel, coupled with the ability to produce insightful reports and analyses. This role requires someone who is not only skilled in data manipulation but also understands the reasoning behind the data requests. Additionally, the candidate should be an excellent team player, demonstrating proactive communication and transparency in all aspects of their work.

You will be part of the Reporting & Analysis team within the Finance department of an international organization and you will offer our internal customers support in the field of Finance in the broadest sense of the word. In this role, you and the team are pioneering new grounds on reporting, aiming to reach the perfect set of kpi’s for the company.

You successfully fulfill your role by:

• Swiftly and thoroughly understanding the reason behind the question.
• Working closely with cross-functional teams, understanding their reporting needs, and delivering customized reports that add value to their projects.
• Proactively identifying trends and discrepancies in financial data, providing actionable insights that contribute to the organization's financial health and strategic planning.
• Maintaining and improving financial reporting processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Supporting the full planning and control process, from preparation to execution.
• Maintaining the integrity of all data sources, regularly auditing and validating data to ensure that all reports are based on reliable information.
• Educating and empowering colleagues to understand and utilize data more effectively, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.

Our ideal candidate meets the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in MBA - Finance equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization tools.
• Knowledge on AI in reporting and analytics is considered a big plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret, validate and explain data findings.
• Strong knowledge on other relevant tooling, like Power BI and PowerPoint, is a plus.
• Strong communication skill. Proactively seek for the reason behind the question and keep stakeholders in- and outside Finance informed on progress and outcomes.
• Relevant working experience of 4 – 7 years in a (similar) Finance role.
