HR Business Partner North America (Part-Time)

Boston - As an HR Business Partner for North America, you will be promoting our people-oriented culture while advising management and employees on all relevant HR topics for the US and Canada. We truly believe our people are our number one priority – they make magic happen.

As part of our global HR team, you will work closely with HR colleagues at our headquarters. You will report to the HR Operations Manger, with a dotted line to the President of Planon North America. Additionally, you will coordinate and align with the Schneider Electric HR team who handles our benefits package and payroll process as Planon is an agnostic business within the Schneider Electric group.

This is a part-time role (0.5 FTE), ideally spread over 4-5 mornings per week to align with European time zones. The position is based in our Braintree office (near Boston), with the expectation of being in the office at least twice per week. As we’re currently defining the future HR structure together with the Schneider Electric team, this position is foreseen at least until the end of the year with a potential permanent extension.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for the North America management team and employees.
  • Coordinate benefits and payroll process towards the Schneider Electric team.
  • Advise management and employees on career development, performance development through our continuous conversations (Agile performance development) processes, employee relations, remuneration package, and legal compliance.
  • Responsible for health and safety measures
  • Ensure smooth onboarding, internal transitions, and offboarding.
  • Promote a positive work atmosphere aligned with our corporate culture.
  • Maintain up-to-date personnel administration, remuneration data, and compliance with country and state-specific employment laws.
  • Implement global HR strategies, policies, and processes within the North America region.

Profile

Our ideal candidate is an open, communicative, and empathetic professional who can balance corporate HR structures with a people-focused approach. Key qualifications include:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and employment law in the US and Canada.
  • Ability to provide pushback to management while ensuring adherence to corporate HR structures and processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on employee well-being and engagement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; French is a plus.
  • Experience in an IT or tech-driven environment is preferred.
