Carissa Gerving is Manager Talent Development at Planon, where she shapes and drives global leadership, people development and DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging) initiatives. She works closely with leaders across the organisation to strengthen leadership capability, career development and performance practices that support sustainable business outcomes.
With a background in human and team development, Carissa focuses on helping leaders create clarity, foster continuous dialogue, and enable meaningful conversations about performance, development and growth. Her work combines structured development approaches with a strong human perspective, supporting leaders and teams in navigating change while maintaining accountability and performance.
Since joining Planon in 2019, Carissa has contributed to the evolution of leadership and performance practices that encourage ongoing dialogue, feedback and shared ownership of development, aligned with organisational goals.
Before joining Planon, she held line management roles at IRI and Leyden Delta. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Music from the University of Chicago.
Outside of work, Carissa enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She also enjoys Vinyasa yoga, is an active vocalist, performing in areas such as opera, musical theatre and classical song repertoire, alongside playing the cello. Now and then, she unwinds with the occasional Nintendo Switch session; proof that balance, discipline, continuous personal growth and fun can go hand in hand.
