2022-04 - Log4j updated in release L80

With installing the L80 update of Planon Live, you will also receive the update for Log4J. More information can be found in the release notes. While the impact of this change is limited, it could have an effect on TMS. For sure, the VFS Worker and the XSLT worker are impacted and need to be updated to the latest version.

To determine the issue is related to Log4J, check if you get a similar info message as noted below:

Unable to resolve com.planonsoftware.tms.worker.TMSXSLTWorker [281](R 281.0): missing requirement [com.planonsoftware.tms.worker.TMSXSLTWorker [281](R 281.0)] osgi.wiring.package; (&(osgi.wiring.package=org.apache.log4j)(version>=1.2.0)(!(version>=2.0.0))) Unresolved requirements: [[com.planonsoftware.tms.worker.TMSXSLTWorker [281](R 281.0)] osgi.wiring.package; (&(osgi.wiring.package=org.apache.log4j)(version>=1.2.0)(!(version>=2.0.0)))]

If the log file shows a message like this, it could be the case that tailor made software component(s) is using the older Log4J library. To resolve this, a ticket can be created toward Planon Support, where this can be further analyzed and resolved.
