You will be part of an international HR team, making a direct impact on local HR operations in Germany. You will work closely with our HR Business Partner from our office in Duisburg, actively contributing to daily HR processes and tasks. This includes HR administration, onboarding and offboarding, absence management, and supporting office management tasks and event organization— all to contribute to the well-being and job satisfaction of our colleagues in Germany.

As a working student, you will be:

  • Learning, developing, and getting to know the professional world.
  • Assisting in daily HR operations: HR administration, onboarding and offboarding, drafting contracts, etc.
  • Performing office management tasks, such as helping organize events and managing logistical aspects.
  • Deepening your knowledge of HR at both local (German) and international levels.
  • Leveraging the knowledge from your studies – using Power BI for data reporting is valued and could become an exciting project to take on in the future!

Profile

  • Are currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business
  • Administration, International Business Management, or a related field.
  • Have work experience outside of your studies. This does not necessarily need to be in HR, as long as you have a strong interest in learning more about the field.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in both German and English, both spoken and written.
  • Possess strong communication skills and attention to detail.
    Have an independent and proactive approach.

This position requires availability for at least 2-3 days a week, with 15-20 hrs. Together with the HR Business Partner, you will work these days from our office in Duisburg. Additional hours are negotiable during holidays.

This role is located at our Duisburg office, which is conveniently accessible by public transport. Our colleagues embrace a hybrid work model but also appreciate spending time in the office. With several locations throughout Germany, you’ll enjoy a vibrant work setting and the chance to collaborate face-to-face with our colleagues. You will receive daily guidance from our HR Business Partner and engage with HR colleagues from other Planon locations, including the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, France and India. Your HR Business Partner will not only support your professional growth but also assist in your personal development.

These are the steps of our onboarding process:

  1. You will receive a welcome letter with information about your first working day.
  2. Your manager will welcome you on your first day and give you a tour of the office.
  3. You will collect your laptop and other assets from IT and visit HR to finalize the administrative onboarding.
  4. You follow the three-day online induction course by the Planon Academy.
  5. Once your probation period ends, your manager discusses the continuation of the employment contract with you.
