In this role, you will lead the development and execution of engaging, integrated, omni-channel customer communications and retention activities for exciting international customers like Nike, Lego, and Siemens. You will collaborate with stakeholders across the globe in Marketing, Sales & Account Management, Support, and the wider Planon business to enhance the overall customer experience and drive increased customer retention.

As a Customer Communications Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our worldwide customer communications strategy.

  • You love creating customer-specific content that builds trust, educates, informs, and engages customers and differentiates our brand.

  • Create a comprehensive customer communications strategy and tactical/operational plan aligned with organizational goals and ambitions.
  • Research, contribute ideas, write, and edit content for customer communications through various channels, ensuring consistency in tone, voice and alignment with company branding principles and strategies.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather detailed briefs, ensure accurate and compliant communications, and deliver new initiatives across various business areas, fully aligned on audiences, messaging, content, promotion, and timing to enhance marketing and sales effectiveness.
  • Contribute to optimizing Planon’s customer portal, making it the main channel for customers throughout their entire Planon customer journey.
  • Contribute to initiatives undertaken to measure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct thorough reporting and analysis to ensure that any learnings are planned into the next communications and contribute to CRM projects, optimizing customer nurturing, data, and segmentation.

Our ideal candidate meets the following criteria:

  • A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, marketing, or journalism.
  • At least 5 years’ relevant B2B communications or marketing experience, preferably within IT or software.
  • Candidate with a proven track record in defining and executing successful customer communications strategies, including mapping customer journeys, and creating compelling customer-facing content, would be an excellent fit.
  • Familiarity with the digital landscape around communications and marketing and understanding of the potential of both online and offline communications.
  • A self-starter with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset who is experienced in driving projects forward and delivering in time and on budget.
  • Ability to work and learn quickly in a multi-cultural, fun, and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent copywriting skills for straightforwardly presenting complex information and creating attention-grabbing communications.
  • Fluent and flawless in English, both verbally and in writing.
