Planon is the leading global provider of Smart Sustainable Building Management software. As Bid Officer you will be responsible for new and existing business development activities, such as analyzing dossiers to supporting in qualifications, answering the Request For Proposals and to coordinating the collaboration with the Planon EMEA South team and our headquarters. Additionally you will work closely with the Sales and Account Management teams to help close business. Together you will be responsible for the sales processes for Planon’s leading Smart Sustainable Building Management Ecosystem around the globe.

Besides these responsibilities, you will also be responsible for creating compelling proposal content and other business-related materials. In this role, you will focus on understanding and representing Planon to our key prospects, including the company’s mission, strategy, core products and services, partner solutions, pricing, and future technology roadmap. You successfully fulfill your role by:

  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Keep track of relevant customer data and market developments
  • Process information requests and preparation of tenders
  • Identify and subscribe to appropriate industry sources for RFPs for Planon’s core products and solutions
  • Write and edit RFP responses, proposals, company history briefs, and other business-related materials as needed to support the sales team
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the subject matter and customer requirements
  • Organize and lead Bid/No Bid meetings, proposal status meetings, and review sessions
  • Keep consistent style and writing standards and in a fast-paced environment
  • Proofread and format reports, marketing materials, and presentations as required
  • Maintain up-to-date company information in corporate proposal library
  • Work closely with the Sales and Marketing Team

Profile

Our ideal candidate meets the following requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent and at least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in sales
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (/French/English and Dutch as an extra trump card)
  • Experience in proposal writing, business writing or editing is required
  • Document or proposal layout skills is preferred
  • Knowledge of Facilities Management/IWMS/Real Estate sector is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe
