VP Global Marketing / Thought Leader

As a Vice President Global Marketing at Planon you are a seasoned marketeer and highly knowledgeable in growth tactics. You will contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company and be responsible for the strategy process. Additionally, you are a thought leader and commonly asked to speak at public events, conferences, or webinars to share your insights in our market.

You will report to the CEO and lead five functional teams (Digital Marketing, Regional Marketing, Campaign Marketing, Solution Marketing, and Marketing for affiliated companies) within the department. As a global team, the Marketing department is responsible for developing and executing a winning marketing strategy to support Planon’s ambitious growth objectives.

You bring significant experience in managing marketing budgets and successfully leading marketing teams. You think big and enjoy a high-growth, fast-paced international environment where being resourceful, learning fast, and taking calculated risks are core to the culture. You are accustomed to working alongside senior leadership and enjoy being an active participant in the strategic growth conversation.

Examples of the responsibilities as VP Global Marketing are:

• Budget responsibility for marketing spend for specific domains;
• Creating the Planon global (marketing) strategy that ensures the Planon brand recognition as a leader in the Smart Building market and IWMS market;
• Leading the Global Marketing team to execute the Planon global marketing strategy in alignment with our corporate policies and processes;
• Leading marketing innovations based on the latest standards and best practices;
• Defining, maintaining and evangelizing corporate vision and brand positioning;
• Representing Planon and speaking at public events and conferences.

• You have extensive experience in all aspects of marketing and a proven track record as a manager of a similar-sized team.

• You are fully up to speed on new developments in the profession, including media developments.
• You have experience in defining and writing strategies.
• You are an experienced leader, who leads by example and by empowerment.
• You think and act proactively and result oriented, take responsibility and always look for creative solutions that add value.
• You are customer oriented; you know what our customers need, even if they don't explicitly ask for it.
• You have a critical and analytical mindset, and you immerse yourself in issues before giving advice.
• You are energetic, excel in convincing and inspiring others and you know how to create a carrier flag for your ideas.
• You identify with our core values of being customer oriented, entrepreneurial, personal, professional, and flexible.
• You have an excellent command of the English language in speaking and writing.
• If you are not based in the Netherlands, you are able to travel 1-2 times per month.
