July 26, 2018 – Planon is strengthening its position in Northern Europe by opening an office in Göteborg, Sweden. The newly opened office will streamline support to Planon’s future and current customers, including Danfoss and Attendo.

“The rapid pace at which our customer base in the Nordics is growing has reinforced our decision to start an office in Sweden,” said Pierre Guelen, CEO and founder of the Planon Group. “We are happy to announce the opening of this new office, as this important market contributes to our mission to further expand our world market leadership in real estate and facility management software.”

Planon’s software is specifically designed to support multinational organizations. Planon considers it of strategic importance to complement its global coverage with local presence. Therefore, Planon facilitate the management of delivery and implementation at a local level, and ensures compliance with local and legal requirements.

There is a growing demand in the Nordics for Integrated Workplace Management Systems, lease accounting solutions, and operations platforms for service providers and therefore an increasing importance for Planon to be present in this market with a local office.

Planon has been recognized by Gartner and Verdantix as a “leader” in the Integrated Workplace Management Solutions (IWMS) market for several consecutive years. In addition, Planon has noticed an increase in the demand for its software solutions with the upcoming legislation around IFRS 16 and FASB ASC 842, which is a driver for organizations to further professionalize their real estate processes.
