Your role

As a New Business Sales professional, you drive growth by identifying, creating, and closing new opportunities. You will manage a complex sales process of 3 to 9 months, from discovery to contract closing, ensuring the right deal is created for all stakeholders. With an 80/20 focus on organic and outbound efforts, you actively build and support a strong sales pipeline.

Using your expertise and creativity, you lead Planon stakeholders throughout the sales cycle, ensuring impactful collaboration. You understand what drives customers to buy and know how to meet their needs effectively, helping us deliver exceptional solutions to Facility Management and Real Estate directors from leading companies in the UK. Networking internally and externally, you connect with key decision-makers to unlock new opportunities and ensure success.

By strategically leading the sales process, you make a real impact on our growth in the UK market while working with top-tier partners and market-leading SaaS technology.

You successfully fulfil your role by:

  • Target and discover new opportunities
  • Realising personal sales target
  • Respond to RFQs and RFPs
  • Attend events and show active presence on social media
  • Ensure a reliable pipeline and forecast in Salesforce

The sales team is dedicated to driving success through our market-leading software, strong client relationships, and valued partnerships, which is part of Planon's largest region in collaboration with colleagues in the Netherlands and Sweden.

As part of the UK local team, you collaborate closely with three other New Business Sales colleagues. You’ll also work alongside our Marketing team, Inside Sales, Pre-Sales Consultants, and Account Management to achieve impactful outcomes. You report directly to the Head of Sales UK. Based out of our Brighton office, the team embraces hybrid working, combining office, home, and customer site visits/events.

Profil

To fulfil our mission of becoming the market-leading provider of Smart Sustainable Building Management software solutions, we are looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, client-oriented, and analytical. You act as a trusted business partner, able to engage customers in meaningful discussions about their business processes and demonstrate your added value. With experience in managing high-value SaaS deals, you combine a hunter mentality with a proactive, self-starting approach. You thrive on independently handling tasks like RFPs while collaborating with your team to share knowledge, learn from each other, and succeed together.

You are the ideal candidate if you:

  • Have proven commercial skills in a New Business role, with experience creating and executing sales plans
  • Bring at least 3+ years of experience in selling software, SaaS solutions, and consultancy services
  • Are an excellent communicator (both verbal and written), with strong networking and presentation skills
  • Have a strong command of English (native-level proficiency) and are willing to travel within the UK and Ireland
  • Are a self-motivated team player with a hunter mentality who thrives on collaboration and results

  • A competitive salary within the range of £60k-£80k
  • Bonus: Direct commission plan
