Job van Barneveld is proud of a remarkable career spanning over 30 years, specialising in the successful implementation of real estate and facility automation for international organisations. He is an expert in a wide array of technologies, including Internet of Things (IoT), Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), Maintenance Software, Reporting Portals, Facility Management Information Systems (FMIS), and interfacing these systems with third-party solutions.

At Planon and other IWMS suppliers, Job has held various positions including business consultant, product owner and project manager for corporate implementations. Today he works as Global Tech Partner Manager, a role in which he is globally responsible for positioning and expanding Planon’s tech partner channel. Job oversees the open platform allowing organisations to develop private or public apps and connectors for software or IoT hardware. He guides strategic partners through commercial, technical, and legal aspects, defining marketing and sales strategies for platform add-ons.

Throughout his career, he often appeared as an intermediary, effectively bridging the gap between IT, Real Estate, Facility Services, and suppliers. Key aspects of his expertise include maintenance software, service management processes, and Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM)/IWMS implementations.

Job’s career history finds him in many different companies, as independent entrepreneur or with companies like SPACEWELL, HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, ING and board room consultancy firm Twynstra Gudde. His skill set includes Information Technology, Retail Banking, Government, and Cloud Computing. He excels in project management with a human touch and boasts a robust international network within the smart building and facility management industry.

Job is a proud husband and father of three. Besides spending quality time with family and many old and new friends, Job is involved with sports on a daily basis. Running, bootcamp, callanetics, yoga and windsurfing are regular activities, but you can always wake Job up for a long hike or a mountain climb. And the world of technology is not limited to Planon as web design and progressive web apps are projects that Job enjoys.
