February 8, 2018 – Planon announced today that Waterschap Zuiderzeeland, a Dutch water utility organization, has achieved better occupancy of their meeting space and an improved room-booking process after completing a pilot of the Planon IoT platform.
Waterschap Zuiderzeeland installed zone sensors in its headquarters as part of a renovation project. All bookable meeting rooms are now equipped with a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor, which communicates the current status of the space — either occupied or free — in real-time with the Planon software.
“Using this technology has let us to monitor space availability better. If a workspace is not used at a time when it has actually been booked, it is released automatically, giving staff much easier access to meeting rooms,” said Janneke Eerens, Environmental Manager with Waterschap Zuiderzeeland.
