~ Planon will provide Coventry University with an innovative software solution to support its facilities and maintenance processes and to improve customer service ~
22 April 2015 - Planon is pleased to announce that Coventry University has chosen Planon’s Integrated Workplace Management Solution. The solution will provide innovative tools to support the operational and strategic management of the University’s Estate, its physical assets, new build projects, and it will also automate the maintenance processes within the Estates division.
Joanne Bishop, Coventry University, Estates Information Manager, states: “We are delighted to be working with Planon to implement a new integrated workplace management system for the University and our Estates Services. It is an exciting opportunity for us to modernise some of our processes, improve our customer service and have greater control and visibility of our data. We are looking forward to working with the Planon team throughout the project and becoming part of the Higher Education User Group”.
With its growing reputation, Coventry University is attracting an increasing number of students every year, with the result that campus and student accommodation services are developing in their range and type. The Estates team required a strong and flexible system that could not only help improve processes, but also could offer a friendly and intuitive interface for use by University staff, students and also its suppliers.
Planon: A ‘single-source-of-the-truth'
Planon’s integrated approach will enable the Estates team to manage all maintenance operations, new build and renovation projects, assets and requests for maintenance in an efficient and effective way. For the first time, data will be stored in one database thereby allowing key information to be shared between departments. Furthermore, key management reports and dashboards will provide measurement data on performance against strategic objectives.
