Planon Real Estate Management is an enterprise solution in our Real Estate business line that enables project planning and analysis, maximized project control and business innovation to increase profitability for property owners, investors and project managers.

This internship focuses on the practical application of AI within our software and data environment. The assignment is clearly defined, including the tools and technologies to be used, what’s missing is the execution. That’s where you come in!


You’ll work on a series of real-world cases designed to explore and implement AI solutions. Examples include:

  • Enhancing Valuation Report Writing with Generative AI:
    Investigate how generative AI can support valuers in drafting high-quality valuation reports more efficiently, without compromising the integrity or accuracy of the content.
  • Natural Language Interaction with Application Databases: Explore how generative AI can enable users to interact with complex databases using everyday language. The system will translate user questions into structured queries, retrieve relevant data, and present results through clear visualizations and contextual explanations.

  • HBO or WO education in a field such as AI Engineering or Data Engineering
  • Strong command of the English language

This internship is based at our head quarters in Nijmegen and is easily accessible by public transport. Our colleagues work hybrid but mostly enjoy coming to the office, which is seen as a ‘green’ clubhouse where different cultures come together. During this internship, you will be part of the Solution Center, which is part of the Real Estate Area. This team consists of 17 colleagues who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, who are highly experienced in the field, with English as the main language. Our team is always encouraging innovation and open to support you. Your internship supervisor is a Solution Director who will guide and support you throughout your internship.

These are the steps of our onboarding process:

  1. You will receive a welcome letter with information about your first working day.
  2. Your manager will welcome you on your first day and give you a tour of the office.
  3. You will collect your laptop and other assets from IT and visit HR to finalise the administrative onboarding.
  4. You follow the three-day online induction course by the Planon Academy.
  5. After your probation period, your manager discusses the continuation of the employment contract with you.
