Are you a specialist in IT law who is excited to provide pragmatic legal support, add value to the business, and help enable Planon’s growth goals while mitigating risk?


As Legal Counsel, you will support Planon’s companies and departments while working with world-leading clients. You will join the Planon Legal Department at our headquarters in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, and become part of an international legal team with colleagues in the Netherlands, Germany and the United States. In this role, you will help ensure compliant, commercially sound and scalable legal support across the organisation.

What we can challenge you with:

  • Draft, review and negotiate customer-related IT agreements and supplier-related purchase agreements.
  • Improve contracting and contract management processes to support scalability, consistency and risk awareness.
  • Advise on special projects and strategic initiatives, including new business models, software platform licensing models and partnering structures.
  • Maintain an up-to-date legal knowledge base and inform Planon about relevant regulations, laws and case law.
  • Understand company objectives and provide professional, efficient legal support in line with the Planon Legal Department mission.
  • Proactively contribute to the quality, business impact and service level of the Planon Legal Department.

Profile

This role is a great fit if:

  • You hold a Dutch Master’s degree in Law, preferably specialised in IT, Privacy and/or contract-related law.
  • You have affinity with reviewing, drafting and negotiating IT agreements, including software licence agreements, SaaS agreements, maintenance and support terms, SLAs, consultancy agreements and purchase agreements.
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can research and analyse complex legal topics.
  • You can communicate clearly in English and Dutch and translate legal concepts into practical advice for non-legal stakeholders.
  • You are detail-oriented and organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise your workload effectively.
  • You work well independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented, international environment.

Salary range: €3.300,- - € 5.693,- gross per month, depending on experience. This range reflects a good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this role, based on objective, role-related criteria. These are the steps of our onboarding process:
